Chakki Mor is a small village in Solan District of Himachal Pardesh. It is a beautiful place for Nature Lovers and particularly bird watchers. I don’t think anyone who is living in tricity and love bird watching would have missed visiting the road from Chakki Mor to Bhoj Nagar. Though best time to visit this area is in winters but, you can visit this Strech any time in the year and you would not return disappointed. This entire stretch is full of surprises but there are some specific spots, where it is easy to find and enjoy beautiful birds.
Chakki Morh is about 30 km from Chandigarh, and it takes about one hour to cover this distance. Taking National Highway No. 5 which becomes Himalayan Express Way, as soon as you enter Himachal, this beautiful gate welcomes you to the Himachal Pradesh.

After travelling for about 6 kilometers, there is a beautiful display of Himachal Culture including dresses and traditions.

After travelling further for few kilometers, on the left side of the road, there is a bus stop of Village Chakki Morh.

From here you will leave National Highway and take right turn to start your dream tour of 14 km strech up to Bhoj Nagar.

From the Year 2019 to 2023, I have visited this belt for 23 times and have so far seen 125 species. I am sharing 40 of my favorite pictures clicked during these visits. Though this entire Strech on both sides of the road is full of surprises, yet there are some special spots on the way, where we can closely watch these birds.
